Miami Hurricanes successfully defeated the Virginia Cavaliers with a score of 29-26 in overtime

Field Goal kicking, the rushing game, and defense were the factors that made the Miami Hurricanes bowl-eligible.

Mark Fletcher Jr. had an 11-yard game-winning walk-off touchdown in overtime for the Hurricanes to win 29-26 over the Virginia Cavaliers.

“There is not a situation we can’t overcome,” Hurricanes head coach Mario Cristobal said.

Andy Borregales kicked three field goals, including one to tie the game late in the fourth quarter.

“Thank God for Andy Borregales,” Hurricanes quarterback Tyler Van Dyke said.

Van Dyke had a rough day for Miami, with 163 yards passing and two interceptions.

It was Fletcher Jr’s first touchdown since week one after he was out with a foot injury.

Cavaliers blew a double-digit lead for the third time this season. All on the road.

Virginia hosts Georgia Tech next.
