Sunrise, FL. – The Florida Panthers commenced their final homestand of the regular season with a 3-1 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs at Amerant Bank Arena.
With a record of 45-29-4, the Panthers currently trail Toronto by four points for first place in the Atlantic Division and hold a four-point lead over the Ottawa Senators for third place.
“We needed to win a game because we’ve played pretty well in this stretch and haven’t had much go our way,” head coach Paul Maurice said.
The Panthers entered their home arena strongly and maintained control for much of the first period, finishing with significant advantages in shot attempts (27-9) and scoring opportunities (12-3).

The Panthers concluded their season series against the Maple Leafs with a record of three wins and one loss.
The Panthers limited the opposing team to only four shots on goal during the third period.
