Bam Adebayo had an outstanding week in the NBA.

The NBA announced today that Miami HEAT center/forward Bam Adebayo has been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the games played from Monday, January 12, through Sunday, January 18. This marks Adebayo’s third career Player of the Week award and the 63rd time in franchise history that a HEAT player has received this honor.

Adebayo contributed to Miami’s 2-1 record for the week, with wins over Phoenix and Oklahoma City. He averaged 27.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.00 steals per game, while shooting 50% from the field, 56.5% from three-point range, and 85.7% from the free-throw line. He made 13 of 23 three-pointers during the week, with at least three three-pointers in each game, and posted a plus-minus rating of +33. Additionally, Adebayo recorded one double-double, was the team’s leading scorer and rebounder in one game each, and led the Heat in points, rebounds, and plus-minus on two occasions.

Adebayo began the week with a standout performance against Phoenix on January 13, recording a game-high 29 points, along with nine rebounds, four assists, two steals, and one block. He scored 13 consecutive points in the fourth quarter, contributing significantly to the team’s 127-121 victory. With his final three-pointer of the game, he surpassed Alonzo Mourning to become second on the franchise’s all-time scoring list.

On January 15, in his 600th career game against the Boston Celtics, Adebayo scored 22 points, adding five assists and four rebounds.

In a close 122-120 win over the reigning champions Oklahoma City on January 17, Adebayo led the team with 30 points, a game-high 12 rebounds, four assists, and one steal. He shot 6-of-10 from three-point range and was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line, setting a personal single-game career high with six made three-pointers. This performance marked his 14th double-double of the season, the sixth time he led the team in scoring, and the 20th time he led in rebounding. He posted a team-high plus-minus of +11, marking the fifth occasion this season in which he led the team in this metric.
