MIAMI, FL – The Miami HEAT announced today that they have officially signed guard Tim Hardaway Jr.

Hardaway Jr., whose father’s No. 10 jersey is currently displayed in the Kaseya Center rafters, will wear the number 10.

“Hardaway is obviously a great name around here,” said HEAT President Pat Riley. “Tim Jr. is one of the most explosive shooters in the league and a player we have long coveted. We are thrilled to finally be able to bring him home.”

Hardaway Jr., who finished third in Sixth Man of the Year voting, appeared in 80 games (including six starts) with Denver last season. He averaged 13.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 26.6 minutes per game, while shooting 44.7% from the field, a career high of 40.7% from three-point range, and 81.1% from the free-throw line. He made 224 three-pointers, the second-highest total in a single season in Nuggets franchise history.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis Jr. have signed with the Miami Heat.

Hardaway Jr. reached double figures in scoring 57 times, including 17 games with 20 or more points and one game with 30 points. He led the team in steals 10 times, blocks four times, and points once. He successfully made multiple three-pointers in 57 games, including 13 contests with at least five made shots. Additionally, he made at least seven three-pointers while playing under 28 minutes in three games last season—his career best—doing so a total of eight times in his career, leading to an 8-0 record in those games.

Hardaway Jr., a 13-year veteran of the NBA, has participated in 893 career games, with 428 starts. He averages 13.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 27.3 minutes per game, with shooting percentages of 41.9% from the field, 36.5% from three-point range, and 81.5% from the free-throw line. A graduate of Miami Palmetto Senior High School, he has made seven postseason appearances, including an NBA Finals appearance in 2024.
