The Dolphins make me cry, Miami Dolphins’ hopes for a successful postseason remain alive

The Miami Dolphins keep the life of their postseason alive.

Tua Tagovailoa threw three touchdown passes to lead the Dolphins past the struggling Las Vegas Raiders 34-19.

Miami’s win over Las Vegas provides the franchise with its 500th regular season win, becoming the 19th NFL franchise to accomplish this feat.

“We have good enough players that if we get them in space, I like our chances,” Tagovailoa said.

Tagovailoa had season-highs in completions and three touchdowns.

The Dolphins (4-6) won two games in a row for the first time this season.

Raiders fall to 2-8, 1-5 on the road.

Rookie Tight End Brock Bowers caught 13 passes for 126 yards and one touchdown.

Raiders have lost six in a row.

Dolphins converted 8 of 12 third downs and scored on 3 of 4 trips inside the red zone.

Miami did not punt the ball in the game for the first time since November 13, 2022 versus the Cleveland Browns.

Having Tagovailoa back and fully acclimated with the offense makes a significant difference at this season stage. His comprehensive understanding of the offense and strong working relationship with Head Coach Mike McDaniel contribute positively to the passing game. Additionally, his presence on the field has improved the running game.

The Dolphins make me cry, Miami Dolphins Conclude Three-Game Losing Streak

Tagovailoa’s performance has not been a surprise, and Dolphins fans can take comfort in his triumphant return from a concussion. Despite missing multiple games, he has maintained a high level of play, demonstrating effective execution and the ability to make plays on the run. His improvisational skills have notably developed, enhancing his overall performance.

Jonnu Smith is enjoying a remarkable season. Known for his explosive playmaking ability, he caught Bill Belichick’s and the Patriots’ attention, who recognized his potential years ago by signing him from the Tennessee Titans. Although his time in New England did not meet expectations, he has found a solid role with the Dolphins, where Coach McDaniel and the team’s coordinators maximize his abilities.

On the defensive side, Zach Sieler has emerged as the Dolphins’ most valuable player despite missing two games due to an orbital fracture. Sieler’s relentless effort and dedication on the field are contagious; he consistently plays with tenacity, impacting both the run and pass defense. Furthermore, veteran Calais Campbell, a likely future Hall of Famer, has revitalized his career at age 38 with the Dolphins, adding significant strength to the team’s defensive lineup.
