Victor Wembanyama is set to make his debut at the 2025 NBA All-Star Game

SAN ANTONIO, TX  The NBA today announced that Victor Wembanyama has been selected as to the 2025 NBA All-Star Game. The second-year Spur has been named a Western Conference reserve and will make his All-Star debut, becoming the youngest All-Star in San Antonio franchise history and the first Spurs player to be selected in one of his first two seasons since Tim Duncan in 1997-98.

Wembanyama becomes the first Spurs player named to an All-Star roster since Dejounte Murray in 2022. The Spurs have now had at least one All-Star selection in 42 of the 48 NBA All-Star Games since the ABA-NBA merger in 1976, tied with the Los Angeles Lakers for the most of any franchise in that span.

Los Angeles Lakers have selected guard Bronny James, who has successfully navigated significant health challenges to reach this milestone

Following his first season where he captured the 2023-24 Rookie of the Year award, Wembanyama has played and started in 38 games this season, averaging 24.5 points, 10.8 rebounds, 3.95 blocks, 3.8 assists and 1.10 steals in 33.2 minutes. He is the only player in the NBA this season to average at least 20.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 1.0 three-pointer and 1.00 block per game. With 150 blocks so far this season, Wembanyama has 60 more blocks than any other player in the NBA and holds an active streak of 34 straight contests with a rejection and a three – the longest streak in NBA history.

In just his second season, he is already the only player in NBA history with multiple seasons recording 150+ blocks, 100+ assists, and 100+ three-pointers. Earlier this year, Wembanyama became the first player in NBA history to record 2,000+ points, 1,000+ rebounds and 200+ three-pointers in his first 100 career games.

Joining Wembanyama as Western Conference All-Stars are: Nikola Jokic (DEN), LeBron James (LAL), Kevin Durant (PHX), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (OKC), Stephen Curry (GSW), Anthony Edwards (MIN), Anthony Davis (LAL), James Harden (LAC), Jaren Jackson Jr. (MEM), Alperen Sengun (HOU) and Jalen Williams (OKC).

The Eastern Conference All-Stars: Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL), Jayson Tatum (BOS), Karl-Anthony Towns (NYK), Donovan Mitchell (CLE), Jalen Brunson (NYK), Jaylen Brown (BOS), Pascal Siakam (IND), Darius Garland (CLE), Cade Cunningham (DET), Evan Mobley (CLE), Damian Lillard (MIL) and Tyler Herro (MIA).

The 2025 NBA All-Star Game will take place on Sunday, Feb. 16 in San Francisco at Chase Center and air at 8 p.m. ET on TNT. For the first time, the event will feature a mini-tournament with four teams and three games.
