The Florida Atlantic Owls need to improve upon their performance from last season. There is no alternative.
They are expected to improve upon last year’s total of 311 points.

The offensive line must provide adequate protection to allow the team to execute its plays effectively. While managing with a makeshift front five presents challenges, it is important to note that performance should not deteriorate significantly. The team has faced nearly three sacks and seven tackles for loss per game, indicating room for improvement. Additionally, the running game has struggled, and the key skill positions currently in place require additional time to develop and function optimally.
Quarterback Caden Veltkamp should be recognized as a key contributor. The Conference USA Player of the Year accumulated over 3,100 passing yards, with 25 touchdowns and ten interceptions during his tenure at Western Kentucky last season.
Sophomore offensive tackle Vincent Forney is a key contributor to the Owls. Standing 6-5 and weighing 275 pounds, he possesses notable mobility. As he prepares to assume one of the tackle positions, continued development during fall camp will be essential to his growth and the team’s overall success.
The defense will play a key role in contributing to the Owls’ success this season.
Following various developments, the Owls remain on track to achieve bowl eligibility through mid-November.
Set the Owls’ win total at five games.
