Alba and Allende’s braces lead Inter Miami CF to victory over New England Revolution

Miami, FL.– Inter Miami CF (17 wins, 7 losses, 8 draws, 59 points) secured a 4-1 victory at home over the New England Revolution in MLS regular season play. Goals from team captain Jordi Alba and attacker Tadeo Allende contributed to the win, with Alba and Allende each scoring twice.

Inter Miami lined up with Rocco Ríos Novo in goal; Ian Fray, Noah Allen, Maximiliano Falcó, and Jordi Alba comprised the defensive line; Rodrigo De Paul, Sergio Busquets, Baltasar Rodríguez, and captain Lionel Messi started in midfield; Luis Suárez and Tadeo Allende led the attack.

Following an evenly contested first half, Allende opened the scoring for Inter Miami in the 32nd minute. Messi delivered a precise no-look pass to Allende on the right side of the box, freeing him for a finish to the far post. This was Allende’s 10th goal of the season, while Messi recorded his 15th assist.

Inter Miami CF Falls Against Chicago Fire FC

Inter Miami extended its lead just before halftime in stoppage time, with Messi capitalizing on a defensive error and setting up Alba inside the box. Alba scored from close range, marking his fourth goal of the season. The assist was Messi’s 16th of the season, giving him a total of 40 goal contributions this regular season (24 goals and 16 assists).

In the second half, the New England Revolution reduced the deficit with a goal from Dor Turgeman in the 59th minute.

Allende restored and then secured his brace in the 60th minute, receiving a well-placed pass from Messi over the defense before finishing from the center of the box. This was his 11th goal of the season. Messi’s 16th assist of the season marked his 40th goal contribution in the regular season.

Alba completed the team’s scoring with his second goal in the 63rd minute, receiving a pass from Segovia on the left side of the box, evading his defender, and scoring with a grounded shot to the far post. Alba’s fifth goal of the season, assisted by Segovia’s sixth.

The match concluded with a 4-1 scoreline, securing three points for Inter Miami at home.
