Carlos is considered one of the top male tennis players this year as we approach Wimbledon.
All indicators suggest that Carlos Alcaraz is highly capable of achieving a historic three-peat at Wimbledon this fortnight at the All England Lawn and Tennis Club.
“I really want to lift the trophy,” said Alcaraz, seeded second behind World No. 1 Jannik Sinner in London. “I’m not thinking about how many players have done it, winning three Wimbledons in a row. I just want to be ready and just want to prepare myself in the best way possible, just to start the tournament with a lot of confidence. I feel a lot of confidence right now.”
The men’s singles title at Roland Garros is centered around Jannik Sinner.
The Spaniard is approaching the grass-court major with an 18-match winning streak, the longest of his career. If he extends this streak to 25 matches, he will become only the second man in the Open Era, after Bjorn Borg, to achieve the Roland Garros-Wimbledon double consecutively. Additionally, he would be the fifth man to win three consecutive singles titles at Wimbledon.
Novak Djokovic is the most recent player to achieve a three-peat at Wimbledon, and the Serbian athlete continues to be a prominent contender at this year’s tournament as he aims to match Roger Federer’s record of eight men’s singles titles.
“Wimbledon could be the best chance because of the results I had,” said Djokovic, who holds a 97-12 record at the grass major. “Because of how I feel, how I play in Wimbledon, just getting that extra push mentally and motivation to perform the best tennis at the highest level.”
The 38-year-old, who was defeated by Alcaraz in the finals of 2023 and 2024, is also seeking to capture his 25th major title, a record in men’s tennis.
