Here is some cools news for a good guy.
Miami Hurricanes transfer N’Kosi Perry has been named Florida Atlantic Owls’ starting quarterback. Perry started nine career games for the Hurricanes.
Owls will open up their season on Sep. 4th, when they travel to Gainesville to faceoff against the Florida Gators at 7:30 P.M.
Perry is their third starting quarterback in four seasons. He did nothing wrong to place himself here. He was in a competitive environment at his position and in the middle of a coaching change that happened all of a sudden.
In 2020, Perry served as the backup quarterback behind D’Eriq King, who transferred to the Hurricanes from Houston. He entered the transfer portal in February 2021.
After FAU’s spring game, Perry ultimately selected the Owls following their spring camp. Coaches and players have embraced him with open arms.
The Owls have an experienced ACC product under center. The native of Ocala (Fla.) has played in 24 games and started in nine games across three seasons. Thus far, Perry has completed 52.4% of his passes for 2,484 yards, 24 touchdowns, and ten interceptions.
Perry won the starting role over Michael Johnson Jr. and Nick Tronti – who started in six games last season – and Willie Taggart Jr., who has made the full-time switch back to quarterback after seeing some time at wide receiver last season.
Perry will bring the swagger from Coral Gables to Boca Raton.
