Max Verstappen wins and goes back to back at THE FORMULA 1 CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX 2023

After 57 laps in Miami, Fernando Alonso secured a podium spot at third for Aston Martin. Sergio Perez is second for Red Bull Racing, and first went to his teammate Max Verstappen.

Verstappen made it two out of two in Miami from ninth on the grid.

Verstappen recovered quickly from his quality mistake Saturday to move up to second place by lap 15. He converged on lap 48 to make a clean pass Perez for victory at turn one.

“We had a good pace,” Verstappen said. “Good look after my tires was the key to the race.”

The victory with an additional point for the fastest lap gives Verstappen a fourteen-point difference in the championship after securing three wins from the first five races.

George Russell finished fourth, and fan-favorite seven-time world drivers champion Lewis Hamilton finished sixth.
