After four months of looking up at other teams in the Western Conference, the Denver Nuggets are the number one seed in the conference.
Michael Porter Jr. scored 25 points, Aaron Gordon added 16, and the reining NBA Champion Denver Nuggets took down the Miami Heat 100-88 in a Finals rematch.
“If you are going to be a team with a deep playoff run, you have to have depth,” Nuggets head coach Michael Malone said. “You are not going to win with one player.”
Nuggets are an NBA 10-1 since the All-Star break.
The Nuggets are 12-1 in its last 13 games against the Heat, including last season’s NBA Finals, and have won seven straight games on Miami’s home floor.
Bam Adebayo scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Heat. Jimmy Butler scored 15 points.
The Heat have lost four straight and remain number eight in the Eastern Conference standings.
