Whether on hard courts, clay, or grass, Carlos Alcaraz appears unstoppable in 2025.
The second-ranked player in the PIF ATP Rankings secured his fifth title of 2025 on Sunday at the Queen’s Club in London by defeating Jiri Lehecka in the final of the HSBC Championships. Participating in his first grass court event of the season, Alcaraz demonstrated his versatility by reclaiming the ATP 500 title he previously won in 2023.
“This tournament is really special to me,” said Alcaraz after his 7-5, 6-7(5), 6-2 win against Lehecka. “I’m just happy to lift the trophy once again. I came without expectation, just to play good tennis and get used to the grass. I [was lucky] to have a lot of friends and family here that made me feel really comfortable on and off the court.”
Alcaraz will next travel to Wimbledon with an 18-match winning streak, the longest of his career, and a 2,240-point lead over second-ranked Jannik Sinner in the PIF ATP Live Race to Turin. Alexander Bublik, demonstrating exceptional performance, eliminated Jannik Sinner in the Terra Wortmann Open in Halle, successfully defending his title, and subsequently defeated Daniil Medvedev to win the championship.
