MIAMI, FL. – Unrivaled announced that four-time NBA champion, two-time MVP, and Olympic gold medalist Stephen Curry has joined as the latest prominent investor in the league.
“I am incredibly proud to be joining the Unrivaled family as the league continues to set a new standard for how women’s professional sports should operate—empowering athletes and ensuring they have a real stake in their own success,” said Stephen Curry. “Unrivaled is not just innovating the way we play basketball, but also how we value and invest in the athletes who drive the game forward.”
In December, Unrivaled announced the successful completion of an oversubscribed Series A funding round, which included an investment from Curry. The league secured over $28 million in Series A funding, supplementing the $7 million raised during the seed round announced in May 2024. To date, the league has raised a total of $35 million.
Curry is the most recent prominent figure to invest in the emerging league. To date, additional investors include Alex Morgan and Trybe Ventures, Carmelo Anthony, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Coco Gauff, Michael Phelps, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, The Berman Family, Ann Sarnoff, Dawn Staley, Geno Auriemma, David Levy, John Skipper, Moira Forbes, Tyus and Tre Jones, Dan Rosensweig, and Gary Vaynerchuk.
