The innovative professional women’s basketball league Unrivaled announced that renowned tennis player Coco Gauff has joined the ranks of distinguished investors in the league.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Unrivaled as an investor,” said Coco Gauff. “Basketball is one of my favorite sports, and the chance to support a league that’s redefining the game is exciting. I look forward to being part of this movement and continuing to help elevate women’s sports to new heights.”

Unrivaled is here. Comprehensive insights, team evaluations, and my forecast for the league champion.

Last month, Unrivaled announced that it had successfully completed an oversubscribed Series A investment round. The League secured over $28 million in Series A funding, complementing the $7 million raised during its seed round, which was announced in May 2024. The total of $35 million reflects a strong commitment and enthusiasm for Unrivaled, highlighting the advancement and elevation of women’s sports.

Gauff is the latest notable figure to invest in the emerging league. Other investors to date include Alex Morgan, Trybe Ventures, Carmelo Anthony, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Michael Phelps, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, the Berman Family, Dawn Staley, David Levy, John Skipper, Moira Forbes, Tyus and Tre Jones, Dan Rosensweig, Richard Sarnoff, and Gary Vaynerchuk.
