Nike Football is proud to introduce a new boot inspired by Alexia Putellas: the first Player Edition of the Phantom 6.
Known as La Reina, Alexia demonstrates exceptional vision, control, and versatility on the field, enabling her to excel from any position. This Player Edition reflects her unique style and capabilities, highlighting the signature precision of the Phantom 6 in a custom design that pays tribute to her enduring association with the number 11. The design also features her personalized Nike logo for the first time.
“When I started watching Barça, I remember 11 was Rivaldo — a lefty,” says Alexia, also a left-footed attacker. “I fell in love with that number. Everyone wants number 10, but 11 is special. When someone watches 11, I want them to think of Alexia.”
Alexia’s Player Edition furthers that association with a “More Than 11” theme that covers the boot in 11 elevens emblazoned from the lace tips to the sock liner, outsole to the upper.
Her Nike logo features a pair of 11s that, together with a refined “A,” form a crown design inspired by her jersey number, initials, and nickname.
“Growing up in Spain, I could only watch men playing football,” says Alexia. “I never dreamed about playing at Camp Nou or having my own Nike boot. This is crazy, but I’m enjoying the process.”
The boot features a vibrant color palette inspired by Alexia’s dynamic style, incorporating bold reds symbolizing energy and creativity, black shades conveying confidence and control, and subtle metallic accents for a premium look. Glitter details enhance visibility under bright stadium lighting, while layered graphics add depth and visual interest. These design elements are also reflected in an adult tracksuit and a children’s T-shirt and shorts.
These design elements pay tribute to Alexia’s story, setting a standard for elevating women’s voices in product storytelling and reaffirming Nike’s dedication to diversity and innovation.
Additionally, the design of Alexia’s model features a boot equipped with advanced Nike Football performance technologies, crafted for precise play on the field.
Inspired by insights from Alexia and other top football players, the Phantom 6 includes a Tuned Gripknit upper for optimal accuracy in all conditions, a Cyclone 360 plate for confident cuts and rotational traction, and a toe box designed for comfort and close ball control.
Alexia’s Player Edition will be available in the Phantom 6 Elite FG Low-Top and Jr. Phantom 6 Academy MG models starting February 2 at nike.com and select retail locations.
