Miami Heat guard Pelle Larsson has signed a new four-year, $60 million contract extension, with a mutual option for the 2030-31 season.
A second-round selection in the 2024 draft, the 6-foot-5 guard has secured financial stability by avoiding restricted free agency next summer. He has agreed to a new contract featuring a mutual option, with a guaranteed value of $60 million, and the flexibility for either party to exercise an option in 2030.
Miami aims to return to the postseason after missing the playoffs last season for the first time in seven years.
Larsson has established himself as a key contributor for the Heat during their offseason restructuring. He is expected to play a significant role in the rotation after averaging 11.4 points per game last season, reflecting an increase of nearly seven points per game from his rookie year.
Larsson appeared in 70 games (54 starts) last season with the Heat, averaging 11.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 26.4 minutes per game while shooting 49.6% from the field. He tied for the team lead in charges taken and ranked third in assists, free throws made, and dunks. He led the team in scoring four times, steals ten times, minutes played, and assists seven times each, as well as in plus/minus six times and blocks five times. Larsson scored in double figures 42 times, including a career-long stretch of nine consecutive games from March 5 through March 21. He recorded eight 20-point games, with a season-high 28 points against Milwaukee on March 12. Additionally, he posted a career-high nine assists in a game at Sacramento on January 20, without committing a single turnover.
Larsson participated in four games with Sweden during the 2026 FIBA World Cup European Qualifiers this summer, leading the team with an average of 26.0 points per game. He scored 19 points against Czechia, 31 against Slovenia, 31 against Finland, and 23 against France.
