The Dolphins make me cry, Miami Dolphins get second win of season ending losing streak

The headlines leading up to kickoff to the Miami Dolphins playing host to the Houston Texans began in the week and before kickoff.

Tua Tagovailoa unpacked his suitcase after Tuesday’s trade deadline without the Dolphins making a move; all eyes will be on him to see if he is the future quarterback of the franchise or trade talks again in the off-season.

Before kickoff, Dolphins announced Tagovailoa would not start the game because of finger injury on his throwing hand. Jacoby Brissett was named QB-1.

It was an ugly game to watch, but one NFL team was going to win.

The Houston Texans and Miami Dolphins combined for nine turnovers; the Dolphins had five turnovers who won the game 17-9.

Dolphins ended a seven-game losing streak with their second win and gained their first home win.

Brissett entered the game 0-3 as a starter this season, filling in for Tua. He finished with a passer rating of 64.5.

Tua is dealing with his ninth different injury since 2018.

The Texans have lost eight straight they have a bye week, then visit the Tennessee Titans on November 21st.

Dolphins tight end Mike Gesicki had two one-handed catches to energize the fans and team; he finished with four receptions for 54 yards. He is worth the bag.

Gesicki will be an unrestricted free agent after this season. He has shared he wants to be in Miami, adding the Dolphins have not indicated that he will get a new deal.

I finally get to write about a win again. Dolphins desperately needed this win. They can now take the philosophy going into the second half of the season; it is a new year; they finally have a win and end their losing streak.

The win gives them momentum, which the team needed going against a talented Baltimore Ravens team on a short week Thursday night.

Dolphins need Tua back, and they will not play as well as they did last season until they eliminate the turnovers. They committed a season-high in this game. That is the standout difference from last year’s team to the current one. Last season they were the league leaders in getting turnovers. It is now the opposite.

The defense is going to have to play their best on Thursday and force turnovers.
