Preview of the 2024 Miami Open: Analysis and Predictions for ATP and WTA

It is spring break in Miami, Florida, so I am easy to find at the Miami Open.

The ATP and WTA 1000 event at the iconic Hard Rock Stadium is back with its festival atmosphere, but there can only be one singles champion on the men’s and women’s side.

For the men, the storyline is that six-time Miami Open Champion Novak Djokovic will skip the tournament after a surprise loss at Indian Well, adding he needs to balance his “private and professional” schedule.

Highly ranked tennis player Novak Djokovic has decided to withdraw from the men’s portion of the Miami Open

With Djokovic out, Carlos Alcaraz or Jannik Sinner are my favorites to win. Defending champion Daniil Medvedev can make some noise.

For the women, Iga Swiatek is 20-2 on the year and just won Indian Wells. Iga is the firm favorite. Naomi Osaka is playing in Miami for the first time since giving birth. Coco Gauff will have the home crowd rooting for her as she seeks her first singles title in the 305.
