Jannik Sinner achieved victory at the Miami Open for the first time by decisively defeating Grigor Dimitrov

The third time is a charm for Jannik Sinner, who won his first Miami Open title after a dominating 6-3, 6-1 win over Grigor Dimitrov.

“On the court, he respects everyone but fears no one,” Coach Darren Cahill said.

Sinner is 22-1 on the year.

Sinner will climb to a career-high of number two in the ATP rankings, becoming the first Italian to do so.

Sinner clinched his third title of the season after one hour and 14 minutes, one of which was his first major, the Australian Open.

Dimitrov created a buzz in the tournament with upsets of Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev.

“He is confident playing loose and free,” Dimitrov said.

At age 32, Dimitrov will move into the top 10 for the first time since 2018.
