FIA and Formula 1 Announce Bahrain as the Host for the 2025 Pre-Season Testing.
The circuit has hosted pre-season testing on six occasions since 2009. Its consistent weather conditions, combination of high and low-speed corners, and two long straights provide the ten Formula 1 teams with an opportunity to thoroughly evaluate their cars and collect valuable data in preparation for the upcoming season.
The Bahrain International Circuit was the first venue in the Middle East to host a Formula 1 event, marking its inaugural Grand Prix in 2004. Over the past 20 years, the 5.42-kilometer circuit has produced nine winners from five different teams, with current grid drivers Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso, Max Verstappen, and Charles Leclerc each securing victories.
The 2025 Formula 1 season, celebrating the sport’s 75th anniversary, will commence in Australia, followed by events in China and Japan. As part of Formula 1’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, with a goal to achieve Net Zero by 2030, a significant portion of freight will remain at the Bahrain International Circuit in anticipation of the FORMULA 1 BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX 2025, scheduled for round four from April 11-13.
