Miami Heat player Tyler Herro is the champion of the 2025 3-Point Contest

Hey Siri, Could you please play the song ‘Tyler Herro’?

The remix will feature his version from the All-Star Game weekend.

During the Starry 3-Point Contest All-Star Saturday Night, two of the 27 shots were valued at three points each. Tyler Herro of the Miami Heat successfully completed both long-distance 3-point shots in the final round, achieving a total score of 24 points. This performance allowed him to surpass Buddy Hield of the Golden State Warriors and secure the trophy.

Herro is the fifth player from the Miami Heat to win the 3-point Contest, following in the footsteps of Glen Rice (1995), Daequan Cook (2009), Jason Kapono (2007), and James Jones (2011).

“I was happy I won. But I think it hit me after seeing Pat up there,” Herro said. “We pointed to each other. I know how much he believes in me. And that means a lot.”

After achieving the highest score in the competition with 31 points in the first round, Hield unfortunately struggled during the final round, missing his first seven shots. Despite this slow start, he made a commendable effort to recover. To surpass Herro, he needed to succeed on all five shots in his final rack, which was the money ball rack located in the left corner. He managed to make the first three shots, but was unable to convert on the fourth, ultimately losing by a narrow margin of one point after successfully making the last shot.

Darius Garland emerged as the third finalist, achieving a score of 19 by successfully converting 11 of his 19 attempts. Two-time defending champion Damian Lillard was eliminated in the first round, finishing with a score of 18, as he was unable to make any long-distance shots and successfully completed only four of his nine money ball attempts.
