Alexander Zverev hitting the hat-trick in style.

Achieving a hat-trick with professionalism and confidence.

Alexander Zverev celebrated his 28th birthday in style on Sunday by securing his third title at the BMW Open by Bitpanda. With this victory at the upgraded ATP 500 event, the German athlete matched Philipp Kohlschreiber’s record with three Munich titles.

“It’s extremely special, I always love winning tournaments in Germany,” said Zverev after defeating Ben Shelton in the championship match. “It’s probably the most special thing I can do. It’s definitely a great birthday present, let’s put it that way.”

The signature music associated with the Miami Open on Stadium Court distinguishes itself from those of other tennis tournaments around the world.

By securing his 24th tour-level title, Zverev regained the No. 2 position in the PIF ATP Rankings from Carlos Alcaraz. Had Alcaraz won a third title at the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell, he would have maintained his ranking; however, he was defeated by Holger Rune in the final.

Alcaraz will, however, proceed to the second clay-court ATP Masters 1000 event of the season in Madrid in strong form. The Spanish player has secured nine of his ten matches on this surface this year, including his sixth Masters 1000 title at Monte-Carlo.
