Filip Gustavsson continues strong performance as the Minnesota Wild defeat the Florida Panthers

Filip Gustavsson maintained an exceptional start to the season with 24 saves, while Jake Middleton achieved a career-high with three assists, contributing to the Minnesota Wild’s 5-1 victory over the Florida Panthers on Tuesday night.

Gustavsson (4-0-1) has conceded seven goals on 145 shots so far this season, resulting in a total of six more goals conceded than goals scored.

Sam Bennett scored his fifth goal of the season for Florida, with Matthew Tkachuk providing one of the assists after returning from a five-game absence due to illness. The Panthers also announced a contract extension for head coach Paul Maurice prior to the game.

Sergei Bobrovsky allowed five goals on 16 shots and was replaced by Spencer Knight after the second period. He remains one win shy of becoming the 14th goaltender in league history to reach 400 career victories.

Minnesota will conduct the fifth game of its seven-game road trip on Thursday at Tampa Bay. Additionally, Florida is scheduled to face the New York Rangers on Thursday.
