Sunrise, FL. – The Florida Panthers secured a 6-1 victory over the Oilers in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final at Amerant Bank Arena on Monday.
With wins in the two most recent games, Florida currently holds a 2-1 series lead.
“We just wanted to protect home ice and play well in front of our fans,” forward Matthew Tkachuk said. “It feels like we’ve been on the road all playoffs, which we have. It’s nice to come back here and play well in front of our fans because they deserve it.”
The Panthers are approaching full strength during a period typically characterized by players managing injuries, with head coach Paul Maurice noting that Sam Reinhart has recovered and Matthew Tkachuk appears to be regaining his form.
