Jannik Sinner will work to overcome the challenges he faced at Roland Garros

Jannik Sinner will work to recover from his defeat at Roland Garros by focusing on a strong performance this week at the Terra Wortmann Open in Halle, aiming to quickly return to winning form.

The top-ranked player in the PIF ATP Rankings will enter the tournament as the top seed and reigning champion at the ATP 500 grass event. Sinner, who has not experienced consecutive loss at the tour level since November 2022, shared how time spent at home with family and friends facilitated his mental recovery following his challenging final match in Paris against Carlos Alcaraz. Now in Halle, his attention is dedicated to defending his title.

“I think that for me to play another tournament is positive, because every match is a new beginning, and I must be mentally ready to give my all on the court,” said Sinner. “Therefore, it is great I can be here in Halle. Yes, I had already a few sleepless nights, but I think every day it gets better.”

Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner’s inaugural appearance in a major final delivered an impressive performance.

“My friends go every year, so I go too. It doesn’t matter where,” said Alcaraz. “The point is to switch off mentally, recharge physically and come back ready for the grass season.”

Meanwhile, his Roland Garros rival, Alcaraz, will begin his 2025 grass season as the top seed at the HSBC Championships, taking place at London’s Queen’s Club. Alcaraz has also taken some time to relax with friends in Ibiza following the conclusion of the Roland Garros final.
