The Miami Dolphins have won five games in a row and went undefeated in November.
Tua Tagovailoa threw for 299 yards and his fourth straight game without an interception in a 30-15 victory over the Houston Texans.
M-V-P chants can be heard loud and clear in the first quarter for Tagovailoa.
“Winning and team success lead to individual success,” Tagovailoa said.
The Dolphins’ defense had three turnovers in a game they led 30-0 at halftime.
Texans managed only 36 yards in the game to fall to 1-9-1.
Through 11 games, the Dolphins sit atop the AFC East at 8-3. Holding the tiebreaker over the Buffalo Bills. Tagovailoa is a perfect 8-0 this season when playing healthy.
The Dolphins were coming off a bye week. Rust did show with bad throws and drops early.
If you told me Tagovailoa would be playing Dan Marino like, I would not believe you. Everyone, including me, is surprised by how Tagovailoa has been playing up to this point of the season. No one saw this coming, including the Dolphins. At one point, the Dolphins were trying to bring in Tom Brady. That went sour quickly. Instead, they bring in the quarterback guru head coach Mike McDaniel, and add Tyreek Hill, who is matched up with Jaylen Waddle; all of a sudden Tagovailoa playing career has skyrocketed.
Tagovailoa left the game early since the Dolphins had a commanding lead and not jeopardize him getting hurt. His numbers since coming back from concussion protocol: 11 TD, 0 INT, 5-0.
Dolphins left tackle Terron Armstead was ruled out of Miami’s 30-15 victory over the Houston Texans after suffering a pectoral injury in the first half.
Armstead left the field and walked to the locker room shortly before halftime with the Dolphins up 30-0 and did not return for the beginning of the third quarter. Brandon Shell entered the game in his position.
Armstead, a team captain, has started all but one game this season, playing through a toe injury he suffered in Week 1. He missed the Dolphins’ game against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 6 after seeing a specialist about the injury.
Armstead was Miami’s marquee free agent signing this offseason.
Armstead plays one of the most critical positions in football is at left tackle. He is the heartbeat and leader of the offensive line, which has played well. Shell and Austin Jackson identify as right tackles. They moved them to the left and right, which is not ideal. Dolphins fans, hold your breath; he is a crucial top-five player on this Dolphins team; they will need him to make a strong playoff run.
What’s next?
The Dolphins go for their most extensive stretch of the season. Three consecutive road games. They are visiting the San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Chargers, and Buffalo Bills. Without Armstead, this road trip will be a huge test. If the Dolphins can win one game on this road trip, that will be huge; if they win two, the Dolphins are for real; three will be extremely hard but possible.
The Dolphins are on track to win more than ten games. A home-field advantage would be colossal. Teams visiting Miami are worn down because of the heat and humidity draining them. Dolphins would benefit from at least one home playoff game.
