What will their response be now?
Carlos Alcaraz, a 21-year-old athlete from Spain, demonstrated his potential to secure indoor titles with an impressive debut at the ABN AMRO Open. He triumphed over Alex de Minaur in a competitive championship match on Sunday, successfully claiming the trophy at the ATP 500 event. This victory marks the first of his 17 tour-level titles achieved indoors.
“I [will] take a lot of confidence from this week going into the last part of the year, and the indoor court swing,” said Alcaraz. “I’m going to go with more confidence in those tournaments, and the [Nitto ATP Finals], if I qualify. Those tournaments are really important so having confidence and a little bit more experience on these courts is going to be really good.”
Carlos Alcaraz remains a prominent topic of discussion, along with my reflections on the Dallas Open
Alcaraz may not participate in indoor competitions for several months; however, the No. 3 player in the PIF ATP Rankings believes that his performance in Rotterdam will serve him well when he returns.
