Roland Garros tournament, the second Grand Slam of 2025, presents a highly uncertain outlook on the ATP side regarding potential winners.

The top players of the ATP Tour are competing in Paris at Roland Garros, the second Grand Slam of 2025. An engaging European clay-court season is approaching its conclusion.

“It was great after three months coming back [and] making the final,” said Sinner at his pre-tournament press conference in Paris. “It was my first big final on clay, which is not to underrate, because we worked a lot for that. We have seen a couple of things where I can improve, and Grand Slams are just different. You have to be mentally ready, physically too trying to use the right energy.”

Jannik Sinner will be unable to defend his title at the Miami Open due to a suspension.

Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are leading the men’s singles competition in Paris, both approaching the tournament with confidence as they aim to win the Coupe des Mousquetaires. Sinner, currently ranked No. 1 in the PIF ATP Rankings, reached the final at Rome eight days ago in his first tournament back after a three-month hiatus, marking a notable accomplishment despite his subsequent loss to Alcaraz in their ongoing Lexus ATP Head2Head rivalry.

“I’ve been through some difficult moments and really tough matches that I could easily have lost, but I am feeling really comfortable,” said Alcaraz ahead of his Roland Garros campaign. “I’m feeling good. I’m happy about the level I’m producing. I do feel that most tournaments and matches are in my hands.”

Sinner will need to be mindful of 2024 Roland Garros finalist Alexander Zverev and three-time champion Novak Djokovic, who recently secured his 100th ATP title in Geneva. However, the player entering the tournament with the greatest momentum is defending champion Alcaraz, who arrives in Paris with a 15-1 record during the European clay season.
