Adidas introduces the new F50 Messi ‘La Vida Tropical,’ which will be worn exclusively on the field by Leo Messi and ten of the world’s top emerging football talents.
The boot presents a modern update to last year’s F50 ‘Triunfo Estelar’ design, featuring visual enhancements such as the addition of a ‘Messi + 10’ emblem. This tribute honors the ten young athletes who will also be wearing the new F50, including Lamine Yamal, Cavan Sullivan, Claudio Echeverri, Jaedyn Shaw, Antonio Nusa, Joel Ndala, Vicky Lopez, Kenan Yildiz, Assan Ouedraogo, and Eliesse Ben Seghir.
An additional feature introduces jagged haptic lines across the upper, contrasting with the smooth lines present on previous models, paying homage to the explosive speed characteristic of F50 athletes. The boot also displays the iconic ‘Messi’ logo on the heel counter and is available in a vibrant pink and turquoise color scheme inspired by the city of Miami. It incorporates the latest F50 technology, including:
- Sprintframe 360 – a specifically designed soleplate built to provide optimised stability and traction and help facilitate multidirectional speed and acceleration.
- Hybridtouch Upper – a synthetic, lightweight material – that offers a moulded fit to provide comfort at high speeds, where it is needed most.
- Burrito Tongue closure system – The closure of the ‘burrito’ style tongue is adapted to Leo’s preferred fit and has been engineered with knit material for maximum comfort.
Leo will wear the boot for the first time on the pitch during the MLS match between Inter Miami and Columbus Crew on April 19th.
