Trevor Lawrence recently concluded what is arguably his most accomplished season to date, achieving personal bests in several statistical categories, including a QBR of 58.3, 29 passing touchdowns, six rushing touchdowns, and 14 go-ahead passing touchdowns. His performance earned him a fifth-place finish in the Most Valuable Player (MVP) voting, the highest placement ever by a Jacksonville Jaguars player in franchise history.
Lawrence has a skilled group of receivers to target. With a healthy Brian Thomas Jr., a more confident Jakobi Meyers, and Parker Washington expected to assume a larger role, this is arguably the most talented receiving corps the Jaguars have assembled. They are capable of advancing the ball at all levels of the defense: Thomas on deep routes, Washington and Meyers in intermediate and short-yardage situations. Additionally, the dynamic potential of Travis Hunter adds a further layer of depth and explosiveness to the group.
Are Chris Rodriguez Jr. and Bhayshul Tuten positioned to carry the running game? With Travis Etienne Jr.’s departure, there is a significant gap, and the Jaguars are relying on Rodriguez and Tuten to assume increased responsibilities and perform at a higher level than they have demonstrated thus far in their careers. If either player encounters difficulties, veteran Ameer Abdullah may be called upon to assume a larger role.
Jaquars were 13-4 last season, they will match that record or better.
