When Team USA comes together to compete on the world’s biggest stage during the next months, all its athletes will be styled for success.
Each member of Team USA will receive an exclusive Nike Athlete Bag, complete with apparel, footwear and accessories to help support them through every game-changing moment in Paris — whether they’re training, recovering, interviewing with media or representing their country on the podium.
Nike designers prioritized comfort and variety when putting this collection together. All athletes will receive a wide assortment of pieces in their Nike Athlete Bag so they can create their own unique look and express themselves in style throughout the summer. Athletes will receive the USA Elite EasyOn backpack, sports bras, tank tops, T-shirts, hoodies, lightweight jackets, shorts, pants, hats and footwear — including the Nike Air Max Dn, Nike Pegasus EasyOn, Nike Air Max 1 and Nike Calm slides.
With the Nike Team USA Medal Ceremony Collection, Nike obsessed fit, function and feel to create an accessible, inclusive and sustainable look for athletes to wear as they’re honored on the podium.
“I had the opportunity to debut the Medal Ceremony Collection at an event earlier this year,” says Sunny Choi, Team USA Breaking athlete. “While it was designed to be worn during an incredibly important global sporting moment, I was comfortable and still felt very chic wearing it.”
Designed for all abilities, genders and body types, the Medal Ceremony Collection honors the significance of the moment with premium fabrics and tuxedo styling. To be worn with an exclusive Team USA colorway of the Nike Air Max Dn, the collection includes a full-zip jacket and tapered pants made from excess materials that were recycled and developed into fabric and trims that are applied throughout. The Medal Ceremony Collection offers a soft, stretch woven material for improved mobility, Dri-FIT liners for breathability, and magnets on the zipper and side vents for easy open and closure.
Special considerations were made for seated athletes, such as a higher positioned pocket, a second pocket entry at the thigh and enhanced ventilation, as well as for athletes with prosthetic legs, for example, a longer leg vent with a zipper for easy access. There is also a bonded cuff to prevent abrasion, as well as an articulated sleeve for improved range of motion and a stretch waistband for added comfort.
