The Miami Hurricanes and Indiana Hoosiers are making history, carrying the legacy of the past with them.

Hello Alexa, please play “In the Air Tonight” by Phil Collins.

This game prediction warrants having that song playing in the background while you review it.

The Indiana Hoosiers do not have a roster composed of five-star recruits. Their recruiting approach differs from that of the 2019 LSU team with Joe Burrow. Similarly, the 2001 Miami Hurricanes team, widely regarded as one of the greatest of all time, was built with NFL-caliber players and was not comparable to this Hoosier team. Currently, the Hoosiers’ roster consists primarily of recruits with no star ratings, including their Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback, Fernando Mendoza.

Fernando Mendoza the Heisman winner has the opportunity to conclude his season with a championship in his hometown.

Mendoza demonstrates exceptional clutch performance in the fourth quarter, surpassing any player I have observed this year in college football. His resilience was evident during the game at Oregon, the Big Ten Championship against Ohio State, a two-minute drive against Penn State, and at Iowa to conclude the game—truly impressive.

“As a quarterback, you need to learn about leadership and really learn how to lead on the fly. Whether it’s a great drive and you guys score a touchdown or if it’s not a great drive and you need to punt the ball, there’s so many different scenarios in football that you can go so many different ways,” Mendoza said. The margins are small, the improv leadership class has really helped me get outside of my leadership comfort zone and really helped me propel myself as a leader in order to thrive on the football field.”

Fernando Mendoza was awarded the Heisman Memorial Trophy and credits his his Cuban heritage for his success

Curt Cignetti is about to accomplish a feat that has only been achieved once before in college football history. Yale in 1894 is the only other team to finish with a 16-0 record. This milestone positions his team on the verge of earning a prominent place in college football history.

The Hurricanes are a team with great potential. They have achieved their first appearance in the college football playoff, positioning themselves as strong contenders for the national championship. A championship victory on their home field would serve to reaffirm the University of Miami’s proud football tradition, legacy and swagger.

After more than four months and the conclusion of the 12-team College Football Playoff, only one game remains in the season. Here are my thoughts and prediction.

Miami, an underdog in the tournament, is seeking its first national championship since 2001. Conversely, Indiana, the top seed, has never previously reached this level of competition and has the potential to write a historic chapter in the sport’s history.

The Canes will compete at their home stadium, where Mendoza the Heisman winner has the opportunity to conclude his season with a championship in his hometown.

Final score: Hoosiers 27, Hurricanes 26
