The Chicago Sky lost to the Atlanta Dream 70-86 at Gateway Center Arena in Atlanta on Tuesday, Sept. 17. With the loss, the Sky tied the season series against Atlanta 2-2.
The Sky are now 10th in the 2024 WNBA playoff picture. The Sky are 1.0 games behind Atlanta for eighth in the playoff picture. Washington and Chicago are both 13-26, but the Mystics hold the tiebreaker over the Sky and are ninth in the standings.
Chicago is also now 5-14 against Eastern Conference opponents, 7-12 on the road and 37-26 against the Dream all time.

One game after scoring her most points in a Sky uniform, Rachel Banham did so again with a team-high 22 points in tonight’s game. She also knocked down six three-pointers, recording 11 threes in her last two games.
Lindsay Allen added 16 points, four rebounds and four assists while Isabelle Harrison recorded a 13-point, 11-rebound double-double. Brianna Turner set season highs in points (eight), rebounds (nine) and assists (three) while Michaela Onyenwere scored eight.
For the Dream, Tina Charles recorded her 193rd career double-double in tonight’s game, tying Sylvia Fowles for most career double-doubles all time. She finished with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Jordin Canada led Atlanta in scoring with 18 points and five assists while Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray notched 15 points each.
Turner made the first start of her Sky career.
Charles passed Sylvia Fowles (2,874 career defensive rebounds) for first on the WNBA’s all-time defensive rebounds list with 2,878 after Tuesday’s game.
Charles reached 4,000 career rebounds, joining Fowles as just the second player to reach 4,000 or more career rebounds all time. Charles is the only player with 7,000 career points and 4,000 career rebounds (Across the Timeline).
The Sky close out the 2024 WNBA regular season on the road against the Connecticut Sun at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT on Thursday, Sept. 19. Chicago is 0-3 against Connecticut this season and 32-36 all time.
