Panthers secured the third seed in the Atlantic Division.

Sunrise, FL.– The Florida Panthers relinquished an early lead in a 5-3 defeat to the New York Rangers at Amerant Bank Arena.

With their three-game winning streak concluded, the Panthers’ current record stands at 47-30-4.

“I think we were in good shape at 3-1,” head coach Paul Maurice said. “A couple mistakes. There wasn’t a whole lot of offense either way, and then the shorthanded goal is kind of the dagger. … Not much of an offensive push at the end, and I didn’t expect there to be.”

The Panthers, aiming to defend their Stanley Cup title, currently hold the third position in the Atlantic Division.
